Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of Founder's Edge, at foundersedge.site and in the app. Using it means you accept them. They're written plainly on purpose.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they're responsible for the account.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself; anything done from your account is your responsibility. One account is for one person. Tell us if you think someone else has got into it.
Subscriptions and payment
Founder's Edge is $14.99 per month (US) with a 7-day free trial. Payments on the web are handled by Stripe. In the iPhone app, payment is handled by Apple and the price shown in the app is the price in your region.
- You add a card before the trial begins. You are not charged during the trial.
- Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts and the card is charged.
- It renews monthly until you cancel.
- Cancel any time from Settings → Manage billing. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- We don't refund part-months, but if something goes genuinely wrong, email us — we'd rather sort it out than argue.
- If the price changes, you'll be told before it applies to you.
If you subscribe in the iPhone app, the subscription is sold by Apple:
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
- It renews automatically each month unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel it in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting your Founder's Edge account does not cancel an Apple subscription — cancel it there too.
- Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. It removes everything you've written and cancels any active subscription immediately. It cannot be undone, and it does not refund the current period.
What you write is yours
Your check-ins, journal entries, plans and posts belong to you. You give us only the permission needed to store them, show them back to you, and sync them between your devices. If you post in the community forum, you're allowing other members to see it — so don't post anything there you wouldn't want read.
Rules for the community
Don't post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual, or that isn't yours to post. Don't spam. Don't try to break into the service or other people's accounts. We can remove posts and close accounts that do these things.
The AI is not an expert
Atlas and the Advisor are AI. They can be confidently wrong. Nothing they say is legal, financial, medical, or professional advice, and decisions you make after reading them are yours. Founder's Edge is a tool for keeping yourself accountable, not a substitute for a professional.
What we promise, and what we don't
We'll try to keep the service running and your data safe. We can't promise it will never go down, never lose anything, or never have a bug. It's provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you've paid us in the last 12 months.
Ending it
You can stop using Founder's Edge whenever you like. We can close an account that breaks these terms. If we ever shut the service down, we'll give notice and time to export your data.
Changes
If these terms change meaningfully, the date at the top changes and we'll say so in the app. Continuing to use it means accepting the new version.
