Founder's Edge · Last updated 6 September 2026

The short version

You need an account to use Founder's Edge, so we hold your email address and whatever you write in the app. We don't sell it, we don't advertise, and we don't use it to train anything. You can delete all of it from inside the app at any time, and it goes for good.

What we collect

WhatWhy
Email addressIt's your account. Sign-in, password resets, and receipts.
Your passwordStored only as a cryptographic hash. Nobody at Founder's Edge can read it.
What you write — check-ins, journal entries, goals, plans, forum postsIt's the product. It syncs so your account works on more than one device.
Streaks and activity datesTo show your streak and history.
Subscription statusTo know whether your account is active. Card details never touch our servers — Stripe handles them.

What we don't do

Who else touches your data

Founder's Edge is run by one person, so it relies on a few well-known services. Each one only ever gets the piece it needs to do its job:

ServiceWhat it receives
SupabaseYour account and your app data. This is where everything is stored.
StripePayment details and your email, for subscriptions. We never see or store your card.
ResendYour email address, to send password reset codes.
AnthropicThe text of a check-in or Advisor question when you send one, so the AI can reply. It is not used for training.
CloudflareServes the website. Standard server logs.

Deleting your account

In the app: Settings → Data & privacy → Delete my account. It is also on the subscription screen, so you can do it without paying for anything. Deleting removes your account, everything you've written, and cancels any active subscription. It happens immediately and cannot be undone.

Stripe keeps a record of past payments after that, because we're required to keep financial records. That record contains your email and payment history — nothing you wrote in the app.

Delete all data on this device is a different thing: it clears the copy on that one device and signs you out, leaving your account intact.

Keeping a copy

Settings → Export my data downloads everything as a JSON file, any time, no reason needed.

Children

Founder's Edge is intended for people aged 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has made an account, email us and we'll delete it.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Data is protected at the database level so one account cannot read another's. Passwords are hashed, never stored as text. No service is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise — but we don't hold card numbers, which is the thing most worth stealing.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes and we'll say so in the app.
